1937. The roller skating rink was open year-round, unlike the rest of Playland, so even on a rainy winter day, the kids could go and have fun. Helen (Cox) Oltman said, "I remember very well the special bus to go skating at the Playland roller rink. Kids in the area would wait at the bus stop at 175th and Highway 99.
