1930. Panorama of the new Playland Amusement Park. From 1930 to 1960 Playland did much more than just amuse the population. It was the darling of the Pacific Northwest, emplying many dozens of people throught the Depression and beyond, entertaining thousands upon thousands more. According to longtime local newspaper columnist Ranny Greene, "it was the most fun you could have for a dime." Photo is courtesy of Jim Sneddon.
